PUBLIC BURYING GROUND FOR THR BODIES OF DECEASED PERSONS, IN THIS
CITY, AND PROVIDING FOR THE SAID OF LOTS TTORHIN, AND PRESCRIBING
REGULATIONS FOR THE BURIAL OF SUCH BODIES TMMI_N.4
BB IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of George-
town, Texas, that Section 3. of the above mentioned ordinance
shall hereafter read as follows:
Said 4* acres shall be fenced by the City separately from
the balance of said tract of land, and a plat of same as now
laid off and surveyed shall be recorded in the Deed Records of
Williamson County, Texas, and the Mayor is hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to execute and deliver for and in the name
of the City of Georgetown at any time to any persons of African
descent proper deeds of conveyance to any lots shown in said plat
in the North tier of lots numbered from 1 to 75 or in the South
tier of lots numbered from 1 to 54, upon payment by such person
into the treasury of the City of Your Dollars cash and upon such
person paying the necessary costs of executing said deed, but in
no case shall more than one lot be conveyed to any person unless
there is no room for the burial of bodies in the first lot con-
veyed to such person.
