BH IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the city of Georgetown# Texas thats Section 1. All olaXms against the City of Georgetown must be approved by the City vouncil before warrants for the same shall be issued or the same paid, except accounts for supplies bought by a committee for that purpose. Claims not evidenced by contracts in writing duly entered into by the City, shall, before being pre= sented, be reduced to writing and be clearly and concisely stated. Section 2. When a claim is presented for services rendered or things furnished the City, such claim shall shorn upon whose request the same was rendered or furnished; and whenever such claim has secured under the direction of any officer# agent or committee or the Council, it shall fir6t be approved as just and correct by such offioerp agent or committee, before reference to the committee on accounts., Section 3, Claims not made out as above shall not be allowed except upon the unanimous recommendation and approval of the pro- per committee; and all claims must be referred to the Committe on Accounts, save those due to the officers of the City for services rendered by virture of their offices and in pursuance of law. Section 4. Claims shall be allowed only at,regular meet- ings of the Counc i3, and shall have been filed with the City Secretary or the Chairman of,tne Committee an Accounts at least one whole day before the meeting at Which they are allowed,; pro- vided that claims due any officer of the City in his official capacity, and those allowed by unanimous vote may be,allowed at other than regular meetings. , PASSM AND APPROVED this 8th, day of October A.D, 1906.
