BE BUILT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas thats
It shall be uniawtul for any naked stovepipe to be allowed
to pass through the floor, wall, roof or ceiling of any build•
ings and in every wooden wall, floor, partition, roof or ceiling
through which a stovepipe is to pass there shall be placed a
stone or earthen crock, double tin or galvanized iron cylinder
through which the said pipe shall extend, and between said stove-
pipe and crock or cylinder there shall be a space of at least
one (1) inch, and the pipe shall be at least four (4) inches
from the wall or other wooden work. These regulations shall
apply to all kinds of stovepipes or other pipes used to conduct
heat or smoke in this City. AnY person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sura not
lees than Bive ($5) or more than Twenty-five ($25) Dollars,
and each and every day that such violation continues shall be
and constitutes a distinct and separate offense.
