BOARD OF EXAMINBRS OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY AND PRESCRIBING
THEIR DUTIES ANIS COMPENSATION,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City council of the City of Georgetown=
Section 1. It shall be the duty of the Mayor, at the first
regular meeting in January of each year of the City Council# by and
with the advise and consent of such City Council# to appoint three
resident citizens of this city, who shall constitute and compose a
Board of Examiners of the finances of the City of Georgetown#
Section 2. It shall be the duty of said examiners when appoi-
nted to proceed to examine the books and accounts of the various
officers of this city, and to make a true report of the financial
condition thereof under oath to the Mayor and City Council as soon
after their appointment as praoticable; provided that in no instance
shall the return of such report under oath be deferred longer than
the first regular meeting of the City Council in March of each year.
Section 3. Such examiners shall receive for their services
Your dollars each for every day of eight hours actually employed in
their investigations# not to exceed three days of eight hours each#
in each year, which sum shall be paid by order of the City Council
made at the first regular meeting after the return of said report*
and said report shall show the number of days served*
Section 4. The annual report of said Board of Examiners shall
be passed upon by the

Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
