PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR A VIOLATION OF SUCH ORDINANCR.
BH IT ORDAINM by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown thats
Any person who shall own or centrol or have in his pos-
session within the limits of this City any mad dog, dog or any
other animal affected, or suspected of being affected, with the
disease of rabies, or any person who has in his possession or
owns or controls any dog or other animal which has been bitten
by any dog or other animal having rabies, or suspected of having
the same, shall immediately kill, or firmly secure said dog or
other animal, and the City Marshall, or his deputy, in hereby au-
thorized to kill such dog or other animal found at large in
violation of the terms and provisions of this ordinance, and
any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this or.
dinances shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanors and upon con.
viction thereof shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Two
Hundred Dollars.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall go into effect from and after its
publication according to law.
