HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 12.12.1904 - SalariesAN ORDINANCE, FIXING THE SALARIES, FEES AND COMISSIONS OF THE OFFICERS OF TEE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, T IYAS, TO BE ELECTED IN APRIL, 1005. BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of George town, Texas: That the salaries, fees and commissions of all the City officers of the city of Georgetown, to be elected in April, 1905, be, and the cause are hereby fixed at the folloring, for their said terms: THE I. ARSB and STREET COT11ISSIONER, shall receive for his servicec, as such ;marshal, the sum of Thirty-five (V'85,00) Dollars per month as compensation therefor, and as eomDensa- tion for his services as Street Commissioner, the stun of Fifteen (615,00) Dollars per month, both payable monthly. He shall further receive such fees in Criminal canes as are noir provided by lair in all cases in which, he may be entitled to fees in the corporation court. , TEE ASSESSOR AND COLLECTIONychall receive as compensa tion for his services the cum of five (5) per cent on the General and Street fund, and one (1) per cent on the other funds, on the total amount of his rolls of assessment, after the same have been made up and accepted by the Board of Equal- ization of said city, and said City's Council, as compensa- tion for such assessment, and he shall receive as compensa- tion for the collection of said taxes the sum of five (S) per cent on all the ad valorem taxes, in the General and Street -2 - funds so collected by him, and the sum of one (1) per cent on all the other ftinds so collected by him, the same to be Payable monthly at any time after ft becomes due, THE CITY SECRETARY shall receive as compensation for his services the sum of One Hundred (,"',100,00) Dollars per year, 1W payable monthly, and he shall fuTther receive all fees allow- ed him by law in the Corporation Court of the City of George- town. TIM CITY ATTORNEY shall receive as a compensation for his services the ma of Five 05.00) Dollars in each care In the Corporation Court in which a plea of guilty in entered and the sum of Ton Dollars for evary conviction in said Court, in which a plea of Not Guilty is entered, and a trial results in a conviction, these amounts, however, in no case to come out of the City, but are to be paid by the de - fondant, as 1P governed by the law regulating the Corporation Courts of this State.
