Pe it ordained by the City Coianeil of the City of George-
town, Texas,
Seo. 1. Tkat all vehicles shall keep to th.e right of the
center line of the street, and as near the right hand curb as
possible.
See. 2. All vehicles skall keep close to the curb can the
rirkt, prodded tkat a vekiele overtaking another shall go to
the left of time overtaken vokicle in passing, but it shall not
turn out to the left, unless there is a clear way of at least
one hundred feet ahead on the left, free.
See. 3. All vehicles turning to the right into another
stseet shall turn tke corner as near as practicable to the
curb.
Sec. 4. All vehicles turning to the left into another
street skall pasts to the ri,*ht of, and beyond the center of the
street interseetion,before turning.

Sec. 11. On all public streets and highways of the Citi►
of Georgetown, all vehicles going is an Easterly or Westerly di3

erly or Southerly direction. Provided, that officers and mem-
bers of the Fire Department, witk tkeir fire apparatus, wken
going to, or on duty at or returning from a fire, shall have the
right of watt in any street and tkrougk any procession.
See. 12. It shall be unlawful to drive or operate on auto-
mobile or motor vekiele, upon Main and Prusky streets,Petween
Merekant or Sixtk (F) streets and Locust or Qtk street, end np-

Ckureh street and Reck street, at a treater rate of speed tkan

15 miles per hour. Provided that in turning any corner at an-*
place within the City limits tke speed shall not exceed eight
miles per kour, and provided further that nothing in this Sec-
tion shall apply to tke Fire Department or Police Department of
said City.
See. 13. 141,very automobile shall, between one hour after
sunset and one hour before sunrise, carry two lights, one on eart
side, of at least four (4) candle power, to be set in front of a
reflector. Every bicycle or motorcycle shall carry a white light
in front, of at least two (2) eendle Power. Provided, that the
above provision shall not apply wken said vehicles are left
standing on any street wkick is lighted sufficient27so that said
vekicle could easily be seen at a distance of one kundred feet.

Seat. 24. Drivers of automobiles and motor vehicles shall,

cause delay in traffic or injury or accident, to man, beast or
property.
See. 28. No person when driving a vehicle with a horse or
korses hitched thereto, shall cease from holding the reins in
his hands*to-guide and restrain k*m same; nor when not riding,
cease from walking at the head of the shaft or wheel horse,eitka-
er holding or keeping within reach of the bridle or halter
thereof.
;Seo. 29. No person shall so lead a vehicle with iron or
other material that may strike together without properly deaden-
ing the sound so that it will not cause any unnecessary noise.
See. 30. It shall be unlawful for any pedestrian to Bross
or to stand upon any street in such a wap as to interfere with
the traffic on that street.

Sea32. No person shall leave a vehicle hitekes or standing
in front of any person's residence, place of business or proper-
ty for more than thirty (30) minutes without the consent of the
owner or occupant of such property.
Seo. 33. No person skall, in a state of intoxication,
drive or operate an automobile or motor vehicle upon the streets
of the City of Georgetown.
See. 34. Wken an alarm of fire is given drivers of all ve-
hicles upon observing the approach of the fire apparatus shall
Immediately come to a standstill, near the curb line,and all pe-
destrians stay on the sidewalk until the fire apparatus kas
passed.
See. 35. The word vehicle is used in this ordinance to
designate automobiles and motorxagniisvehieles as well as vehi-
ales of other kinds. '

Sea. 36. Any person violating any of the provisions of
tkis ordinance shall be deftmed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof In the Corporation Court, shall be fined in
any sum not less tkan f5.00 nor more than $100.00.
Seo. 37. Nothing in this ordinance contained shall be con-
strued as repealing; any ordinance except so far and to fsr only
as they skull conflict with ther provisions thereof.
See. 38. This ordinance shell to into effect and be in
full force from and after its passage, approval by the Mayer
and lawful publication.
