That an ordinarc a passed and approved thel2th day of
March, 19060 relating to what is known as Oak Hill Cemetery be
amended by adding thereto section 6-A.
Section 6-A. The Mayor of the City of Georgetown,Texas
is hereby authorized and instruoted, to make a deed of convey.
•anoe to L.V. Bury, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Thomas
H. lithely Lodge No. 459 Colored Masons, of Georgetown,Texas,
and to his successors in office, of the 4j acres of land, de-
scribed in Section 2 of this ordinance, it being the intention
of the Ci-ty Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to place
the legal title to said land in said Chairman of said Board of
Trustees, and his successors in office, so that deeds to the
purchasers of said property can be made by said Chairman.
It in further the intention of the City Council to turn
over the care and control of said 4�j acres of land to said
Lodge, to be held, maintained and sold in accordance with the
provisions 61 thin 6rdinance, as a Cemetery for the Colored
People, as provided in this ordinance.
Said Lodge to hold in trust the funds arising from the
sale of said property to provide for the care and maintenance
of said property as a Cemetery.
It being especially provided that, in addition to the
land set aside in Section 5 of this ordinance, that there shall
be set aside from time to time, as needed, any unsold portion
of said land when it becomes necessary to do so for the purpose
of said Section so as to relieve the City of Georgetown, Texas,
from its duty and liability of furnishing to such persons suit-
able burying ground. .
