Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: Section 1: �._ That to meet the current expenses of the City of Georgetown,Texas, and to carry on the City Government of said City for the year of 1917, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of twenty-five cents of the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1917,of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitu- tion and laws of the State of Texas. Section 2: That to work and grade and improve the streets of the said City of Georgetown,Texas, for the year 1917, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of fifteen cents on the $1000.00 assessed valua- tion for the year of 1917 of all real and personal property and estate in the said City of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and Laws of the State of Texas. Section 3: That for the support and maintenance of the Public Free Schools in the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the year 1917, and as determined according to the law by an el-ebtioni1 heretofore held in said city for said purpose, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of fifty cents on the $100:00 assessed valuation for the year 1917 of all real and personal property and estate in the city of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Con- stitution and Laws of the state of Texas, and the amount of the taxes collected as nrovided for in this section shall constitute a separate fund and shall be used for no other purpose than as herein specified. Section 4: That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $7,000.00 in bonds of the City known as "The City of Georgetown Refunding School House Bonds" as evidenced by eight ( 8) $1,000.00 unpaid bonds, i s sued for the purpose of refunding, cancelling and in lieu of certain fronds known as "Public School Building Bonds" as shown by ordinance of this City, liassed and approved on November 13th,1905, such ordinance being sections 117 to 129, inclusive, of the Revised Civil and Criminal Ordinances of the City of Georgetown,Texa$ and as approved in said ordinance there is here and now levied 71 -2 - and shall be collected for the year 1917 an annual ad valorem tax of three cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1917, of all real and personal property and es- tate in the City of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxa- tion by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas,and the amount of taxes collected under the provisions of this section shall be used for no other purpose than there herein specified. Section 3; That to nay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $32,000.00 in bonds of this City known as "City of Genraetown Waterworks Bonds," as evidenced by thirty- five $1,000.00 unpaid bnn ds, i slued for the purpose of con- structing a waterworks plant in the City of Georgetnwn, Texns, as shown by Ordinance of txiis city, passed and approved on October 19th,1910, and as provided in said ordinance, there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year 1917 an annual ad valorem tax of 12 cents on the $100.00 as- sessed valuation for the year 1917 of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown, Texas, not ex- empt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collected under the pro- visions of this section shall constitute a special fund and shall be used for no other purpose than that herein specified. Section 6; That to nay the interest and create a sinking fund'to meet the $13,000.00 in bonds of this city, known as "City of Georgetown Faectric Light Bonds," as evidenced by thirteen $1,000.00 unpaid bonds,issued for the purpose of constructing an electric light plant in the City of George- town, Texas, as shown by ordinance of this city,passed and approved on October 18th,1910, and as provided in said or- dinance,there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year 1917 an annual ad valorem tax of five cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1917 of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collected under theprovisione of thi. s section shall constitute a special fund and shall be used Porno other purpose than that herein specified. r - 3 - Section 7: That to pay the interest and create,-a,:6inking fund to meet the #13,500,00 in bonds of this city,known as the City of Georgetown Water Works Bonds,Second series," as evidenced by twenty-seven $500.00 unpaid bonds, issued for the purpose of completing the water works plant in said city, as shown by ordinance of this city, passes and approved on December, _1913, and as provided in said ordinance there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year of 1917 and annual ad valorem tax of five cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1917, of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown,Texas, not ex. empt from taxation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of the taxes collected under the pro- visions of this section, shall constitute a special fund and shall be used for no other purpose than that herein specified. Section 8: That all oriinances,or parts of ordinances,of this City, in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby re- pealed. Passed and approved this the 11th day of December, A. D.l 916 . JNO.
