HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 04.10.1979 - Landfill Rates4i 3 a ORDINANCE NO. 79-12 AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING AND SETTING SANITARY LANDFILL RATE SCHEDULE FOR THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has enacted an ordinance captioned "Garbage and Trash Ordinance"; and, WHEREAS, said Ordinance makes provision for the establishment of sanitary landfill use rates; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: The following fee rates per load or unit shall be collected by the City Manager or his delegate, for the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the use of the landfill sanitary disposal facility of the City of Georgetown, Texas: A. ALL REFUSE EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE HEREINAFTER ENUMERATED: 1. Private passenger automobile and pick-up trucks up to and including 3/4 ton standard beds ........................ $ 5.00 2. All other trucks, trailers or other vehicles ................ $ 2. 00 per cubic yard B. BULK ITEMS SPECIFIED HEREIN SHALL BE CHARGED THE FOLLOWING FEES: 1. Kitchen ranges, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, air conditioners, bulk appliances, bed springs, car bodies or parts thereof, and similar objects of like nature ................................................. $10.00 C. DEAD ANIMALS: 1. Dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals of similar size ....... $ 5.00 2. Sheep, goats, calves, swine 'and other animals of similar size .............................................$ 5.00 3. Cows, horses and any other animals of similar size .........$20.00 D. EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN FEES: No fees or charge shall be levied against any resident of the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the use of the city landfill sanitary disposal facility for such refuse as may accumulate as household garbage. Such resident must identify himself with the latest issued garbage service card showing said bill to have been paid. Any other materials or rubbish will be at the above rate. E. EFFECTIVE DATE: The rates prescribed herein shall become effective May 1, 1979. F. DECLARING AN EMERGENCY: Whereas an emergency is apparent for the preservation of order, good government and the general public safety and welfare, this ordinance shall become effective and applicable upon its passage and it is accord- ingly so ordained.
