HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 03.13.1979 - Abandoning Easement331 ORDINANCE NO. 79-10 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING AN EASEMENT LYING BETWEEN LOTS 8 AND 9, IN BLOCK 2, RIVERSIDE UNIT, OAK CREST ESTATES, A SUBDIVISION IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Carroll L. Burgess, the owner of lot 8 and a portion of lot 9, in Block 2 of Riverside Unit, of Oak Crest Estates, of Williamson County, Texas; WHEREAS, the petition states that the public utility easement running along and 10 feet either side of the common boundry between Lots 8 and 9 of said subdivision has been inadvertently encroached and that more convenient and serviceable easements do exist, and WHEREAS, the petitioner states he desires to eliminate any discrepancies in title and that it is desirable that said easement be abandoned and vacated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, that the easement described in Exhibit .4 "A", is hereby vacated, closed and abandoned, except that the City '„r of Georgetown reserves for itself or for any public utility company, ;r the right to maintain, repair and replace any water, sewer or other utility lines presently located in, upon or over said easement, Read, passed and approved on first re6ading this day of 1979.
