HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 02.13.1979 - ANX Lots in Highland Park301 NO. 79-8 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY. AREA TO BE ZONED INDUSTRIAL. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation having an interest in the following described territory, to -wit: of Georgetown, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width; and WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 12Z day of and WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the City of Georgetown, Texas: NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: That the following described property, to -wit: All of Lots 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Block 3, and all of lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in Block 4, and all of Lot 7 and the South 105 feet of Lot 6 in Block 2 of the subdivision as shown on Plat of Highland Park, Revised, recorded in Vol. 3, Page 63 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and all streets in said subdivision that presently lie outside the City Limits; be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City -of Georgetown, Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the same shall hereafter All of Lots 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Block 3; all of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in Block 4, and all of Lot 7 and the South 105 feet of Lot 6 in Block 2 of the subdivision as shown on Plat of Highland Park, Revised, recorded in Vol. 3, Page 63 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and ry all streets in said subdivision that presently lie outside .-� the City Limits. The above described property is zoned "Industrial." The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Georgetown, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
