ORDINANCE NO. 79-6
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 12TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY, 1968 WHICH PROVIDES FOR LAND
BEING ANNEXED INTO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
TO BE ZONED AT THE TIME OF ANNEXATION BY
AMENDING SECTION 1.205 (LAND ANNEXED TO
CITY): AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
TEXAS: That Section 1.205 of the Zoning Ordinance passed and
approved on the 12th day of February, 1968 is hereby rescinded
and in lieu thereof it is further Ordained by the City Council
of the City of Georgetown that Section 1.205 shall hereafter
read as follows;
SECTION 1.205 Land Annexed to City: Any ordinance
hereafter annexing new territory to the City shall
include, as a part thereof, a map or plat, showing
the proposed zoning classifications for the area be-
ing annexed as recommended by the City Planning and
Zoning Commission.
`V When new territory is so annexed to the City, the

Cr'r City Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council
pp shall hold a public hearing on the proposed zoning of
the area. Notice of such hearing and procedure for
V adoption of the ordinance zoning the area shall be
in conformity with this ordinance and State Statutes
regulating the zoning of property.
Those portion of said Ordinance not mentioned nor
affected by this Amendment shall remain in full force
and effect.
If any paragraph, clause, phrase or other part of this
Amendent should for any reason be held invalid, such
invalidity shall not effect the remaining provisions
of this Amendment and to this end the various provi-
sions of this Amendment are hereby declared to be
severable.
Read, passed and approved by the City Council on first and final
reading as an emergency at a meeting held on the 13th day of
February, 1979•
