AN CRDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, CONTINUING THE
TAX IMPOSED BY THE LOCAL SXES AND USE TAX ACT (ARTICLE 1066c, -
VERNON' S TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES) ON THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF
GAS AND ELECTRICITY FOR RESIDENTIAL USE IN SAID CITY, EFFECTIVE
OCTOBER 1, 1979.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
Section 1. The City of Georgetown, by majority vote of the membership of its
governing body, hereby votes to conintue the taxes authorized by the local Sales and
Use Tax Act (Article 1066c, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes) on the receipts from the
sale, production, distribution, lease, or rental of, and use, storage, or other consump-
tion of gas and electricity for residential use, effective October 1, 1979, as authorized
by Section 6 of House Bill No. 1, Acts 1978, 65th Legislature, Second Called Session.
Passed and approved, the 14th day of November 1978.
Passed and approved, the 12th day of December 1978.
