COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS.
ORDINANCE NO. 78-25
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND PRESCRIBING THE RATES OF THE
WILLIAMSON COUNTY CABLEVISION COMPANY AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THESE RATES.
WHEREAS, the Williamson County Cablevision Company has filed an Application
with the City Council of the City of..George town to increase its rates within the City
of Georgetown to be charged to users of local cablevision service, and the City Council
after duly considering said Application, making on investigation, study, and giving the
Company a Hearing, is of the opinion that the rates prescribed in this Ordinance will
yield a fair rate of return to the Company on the property actually used for rendering
service to the public; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
Section 1. That the Williamson County Cablevision Company is hereby authorized to
place in effect as of the 11th day of October 1978, the following schedule of rates:

$1.50 each
Section 2. That the present levels of rates and charges for miscellaneous services and
equipment not included in the rates specified in this ordinance were taken into account in
establishing the here approved schedule rates and charges, and all such rates and charges
for miscellaneous services and equipment shall remain subject to the power of the City
Council. Therefore, in the event that the Williamson County Cablevision Company
desires to increase such rates and charges for miscellaneous services and equipment it
shall, prior to instituting any increase in such rates and charges, file with the City a
proposed tariff, together with a report showing the class of service of equipment involved,
the present annual revenues being obtained from such service, the prospective number of
customers to be affected, the smount of such service, and the estimated annual increase
in revenues to be generated by such increase in rates and charges.
Section 3. That these rates shall become effective at 12:01 A.M. on the 11th day of
October 978.
Section 4. That the Williamson County Cablevision Company shall file, within ten (10)
days from the passage of this Ordinance, an unqualified acceptance of the terms and
provisions of this Rate Ordinance, and the failure to promptly accept the terms hereof
within the specified time, or an attempted acceptance under protest, or with qualifi-
cations, shall render this oredinance void, and the rates now in effect shall continue in
effect.
Section 5. That nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed as in any manner limiting
modifying, or abrogating the right and power of the City Council, under the Charter of
the City of Georgetown, the constitution and laws of the State and of the United States
to regulate the rates charged by The Williamson County Cablevision Company for local
cable television service within the City of Georgetown.
Read, passed and adopted by majority vote on the first reading this 22nd day of September
1978, and read, passed and adopted on second reading this the 10th day of October 1978.
