HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 77-03 - Adding PlatsORDINANCE NO. 77-3 AMENDMENT TO SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULAT- IONS GOVERNING PLATS, PLANS AND SUBDIVISIONS OF LAND WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, BY ADDING TO SECTION "4.02 FINAL PLAT" A PROVISION REQUIRING THE PAYMENT BY SUBDIVIDERS OF 50.00 PER LOT OR TRACT SHOWN ON SUCH PLAT TO SAID CITY OF GEORGE - TOW N. WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas, including particularly Chapters 231, Acts of the 40th Legislature, Regular Session, 1927, as heretofore or herafter amended (compiled as Article 974a V.A.C.S.) as heretofore or hereafter amended, the City of Georgetown enacted its subdivision ordinance prescribing rules and regulations governing the filing of plats, plans and subdivisions of land; and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Georgetown; Texas, to amend Section "4.02 FINAL PLAT" as appears in said Ordinance by adding thereto the following: "Each such filing with the office of the City Secretary shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or money order in the amount of $50.00 multiplied times the total number of lots within said subdivision as a prerequisite to such filing:" NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: M . V 00 That hereafter Section "4.02 FINAL PLAT" shall include the following: "Each such filing with the office of -Te --City Secretary shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or money order in the amount of $50.00 multiplied times the total number of lots within said subdivision as a prerequisite to such filing:" READ, PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council on first reading as an emergency in order to enable said City to collect necessary funds and to enable Developers to file forthwith plats without delay at a meeting held at the City Hall in the City of Georgetown, Texas, this 8th day of February, 1977. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Virginia Johnson, Owners of the hereon described subdivision to be known as SIESTA COUNTRY, are hereby authorized to file for record in the Office of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas, the plat of said subdivision attached hereto, and the County Clerk of Williamson County is hereby authorized to file for record said plat of land. Walden, City Secretary A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS ON A PROPOSED LEASE AGREEMENT FOR AN APPROXIMATE TWO ACRE SITE AT THE GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT ON WHICH A MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR HANGAR IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED AND TO REFER SUCH ADDITIONALL BIDS AS MAY BE RECEIVED TO THE AIRPORT AD- VISORY BOARD FOR THEIR CONSIDERATION AND RECOMMENDATION TO THE COUNCIL AND IN THE EVENT ADDITIONAL BIDS ARE NOT RECEIVED AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN. WHEREAS, Johnny B. Gantt of Williamson County, Texas is desirous of entering into an agreement whereby the City of Georgetown, Texas will lease, demise and let unto Gantt certain acreage located on the Georgetown Municipal Airport for specific purposes and under stipulated terms and conditions set forth in the attached agreement, and WHEREAS, the Georgetown Municipal Airport Advisory Board recommends approval of the terms of the agreement, and WHEREAS, Section IV of the agreement recognizes that certain legal requirements be met and satisfied including publication of the term of such proposed lease and an invit- ation to others to bid on a competitive basis, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Georgetown authorizes the City Manager to advertise for bid by others on the lease agreement and refer bids received to the Airport Advisory Board for their consideration and recommendation to the City Council. Should additional bids not be received, the City Council of the City of Georgetown authorize the Mayor to sign and enter into said agreement on behalf of the City of George- town, Texas.
