HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 10.27.1980 - Service Standards for Gas UtilitiesAN ORDINANCE ADOPTING SERVICE STANDARDS WITH RESPECT TO GAS UTILITIES IN ORDER TO CARRY OUT THE OBJECTIVIES OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY ACT OF 1978, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Regulatory WHEREAS, Congress did pass the Public UtilitiestAct of 1978; and WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, is covered unter Title III of the Public Utilities Regulatory Act of 1978; and WHEREAS, at lease one public hearing has been held on the question of the service standards listed in Title III of the Public Utilities Regulatory Act of 1978; Now, Therefore Co BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas; Section 1. The following service standards regulating the Lone Star Gas Ur Company are hereby adopted: Q 1. Termination of Service - The general rules and regulations for residential Q and commercial service filed by Lone Star Gas Company with the City of Georgetown, Texas, and on file in the Office of the City Secretary shall apply with respect to termination of service 2. Advertising - Rule Number 051.04.03.037 of the Texas Railroad Commission shall appy to Lone Star Gas Company with respect to advertising. Section 2. For the preservation of order and general welfare, an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect from and after its passage.
