Be It ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas; section 1; That to meet the current expenses of the City of Georgetown,Texas, and to carry on the City Government of said City for the year of 1918, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of twenty-five cents of the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1918,of all real and personal property and estate in the City of George- town,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Section 2; That to work and grade and improve the streets of the said City of Georgetown,Texas, for the year 1918, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of fifteen cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year of 1918 of all real and personal property and es- tate in the said City of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from tax- ation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Section 3= That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $7,000.00 in bonds of the City kflown as "The City of Georgetown Refunding School House Bonds" as evidenced by eight (7) $1,000.00 unpaid bonds, issued for the purpose of refunding, cancelling and in lieu of certain bonds known as "Public School Building Bonds" as shown by ordinance of this City, passed and approved on November 13th,1905, such ordinance being sections 117 to 129, inclusive, of the Revised Civil and Criminal Ordinances of the City of Georgetown,Texas, and as approved in said ordinance there is here and now levied and shall be collboted for the year 1918 an annual ad valorem tax of three cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year. 1918, of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitu. tion and Laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collbdted under thgprovisions of this section shall be used for no other purpose than herein specified. Section 4; That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the 032,000.00 in bonds &f this City known as -1- "City of Georg-town Waterworks Bonds", as evidenced by thirty- five $1,000.00 unpaid bands, i ssued for the purpose of construo- ting a waterworks plant in the City of Georgetown,Texas, as shown by Ordinance of this City,passed and approved on October 19th,1910, and as provided in said ordinanee,there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year 1918 an annual ad valorem tax of 12 cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1918 of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collected under the provisions of this section shall constitute a special fund and shall be used for no other pur- pose than that herein specified. Section 5; That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $13,000.00 in bonds of this city, known "City of Georgetown Electric Light Bonds," as evidenced by thirteen $1,000.00 unpaid bonds, issued for the purpose of constructing as electric light plant in the City of Georgetown,Texas, as shown by ordinance of this city, passed and approved on October 18th,1910, and as provided in said ordinance, there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year 1918 an annual ad valorem tax of five cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1918 of all real and personal property and estate in the Clay of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitttion and Laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collected under the provisions of this section shall constitute a special fund and shall be used for no other pur- pose than that herein specified. Section 6; Thst to pair flim interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $13,000.00 in bonds of this city,known as the "City of Georgetown Water Forks Bonds, second Series," as evidenced by twenty- seven $500.00 unpaid bonds, i ssued for the purpose of completing the water works plant,in said city, as shown by ordinance of this city, passed and approved on Decem- ber ,1913, and as provided in said ordinance there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year of 1918 an annual ad valorem tax of five cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1918, of all real and personal property and estate in the City of °'eorgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constit,ition and laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of the taxes collected under the provisions of this seetion,shall constitute a special fund and shall be used for no other purpose than that herein specified. Section 7; That all orciinances,or parts of ordinances,of this Ci ty, in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby re- pealed. e- pealad. It PassAd and approved this the 10th day of Dec.A.D.1917.
