TOWN, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF TWO TRACTS OF LAND, TRACT ONE BEING 24.24 ACRES AND TRACT TWO BEING 2.11 ACRES, WHIC11 SA10 TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRES)EN [' BOUNDARY t,LMIT OF THE C 1'CY OF GEORGETOWN, TPXAS. WHEREAS, two public hearings by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of certain tracts of land located in Williamson County, Texas consisting of 24.24 acres and 2.11 acres, were held, the first being at City Hall on the 29th day of August, 1983, and the second hearing being in the area proposed to be annexed on the lst day of September, 1983; and WHEREAS, notices of such public hearings were published according to law in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, and in the herein described territory to be annexed on the 18th day of August, 1983, for the first such hearing, which date is not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to that hearing, and on the 18th day of August, 19 8 3 , for the second hearing, which date is not more 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to said hearing; and WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Georgetown, Texas on the 1st day of January, 1983 was 4,054.7 acres; and WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas is 9,468 inhabitants; and WHEREAS, all the herein described ze•rritory lies within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory lies adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory contains two tracts of land, one being 24.24 acres and one being 2.11 acres; and WHEREAS, the owner of such property has requested annexation by the City of Georgetown; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: Section 1. The following described land and territory lying adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the City of Georgetown, Texas and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included in the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the present boundary limits of said City at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to -wit: BEING those certain tracts and parcels of land described as Tracts One and Two in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes. Section 2. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the property so added hereby shall bear its pro -rata share of the taxes levied by the City of Georgetown, Texas and inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of all the -ttizen3 and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resol uut: ions inch regulations of the City of Georgetown, Texas. 63 PASSED AND APPROVED on f i r5 t r-,ading on this 21 it clay of September, 1983. The department will respond to any calls for assistance. B. FIRE SERVICE Fire service is now being provided to the area and will continue to be provided by the present personnel and equipment of the fire fighting force. C. WATER SERVICE Is now available in this general area and will be provided to the boundary of LK tract upon request and in accordance with rates, terms and conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code and the City of Georgetown Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances and depending upon the costs to the City to provide same. 1). SEWLIR SERVICE Is now available in this general area and will be provided to the boundary of the tract upon request and in accordance with rates, terms and conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code and the City of Georgetown Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances and depending upon the costs to the City to provide same. E. REFUSE COLLECTION Service will be provided upon annexation in accordance with rates, terms and conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code. F. INSPECTION SERVICES All inspection services (for example, building electrical, plumbing, etc.) provided by the City will be extended to this area on the effective date of annexation. C. PLANNING ANA ZONING The Planning & 'Zoning jurisdiction of the City will extend to this area on the effective date of annexation. The stoning will be 1 - Industrial District unless requested otherwise. H. STREETS, STREET LIMING, R :CREATION, LIQUARY SERVICES In accordance with the fact that the area proposed to be annexed is Vacant Land which does not We any nermanent residents or public streets, the above mentioned services are not applicable tz this area. 1. MISCELLANEOUS Any other Applicable municipal services will be provided to the area in accordance with policies establishee by the City of Georgetown.
