WHEREAS, the Cltp Council has found and determined that it would be in the best interest of the community to amend Chapter 2115 to provide for corrections as recommended by the orge[oirn Village public Improvement DisHd No 1 Advisory Board; and 4VIIFRFAS, after receiving input main the Advisory Board, the City Council found acd determined that If mould be N the best interest of the mmmmrity to amend the ordinance as conlaine,l hercin NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that: SECTION 1 The facts and recitations combined in the preamble of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and made a part hereof, as it copied verbatim, The City Councilhereby findsthatenacturentof this Ordinance is sot inconsistent or in conffiet with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. iECT1OV 7 Section 2,115,030 of the City Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to provide as fodmms Sec. 1,115,030, Members and terms; A. RCTION3 Section 2.115.040 of the City Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to provide aS tollows Sec 2.115,040. Officers. The Board shall elect a president, vice-president, and treasurer. A non- member may serve in the ministerial position as secretary for the purposes of preparing agenda, postings, and meeting minutes that satisfy the provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act but if the secretary is a non-member, he or she shall not be eneitled to vote or to take any other official actions other than Preparing agenda, postings, and meeting minutes that satisfy the provisions of die Texas Open Meetings Act. Any officer shall be entded to enter into an contract or to execute and deliver any instrumortin the name of the Board, provided that the officer has obtained an him the Board and provided further that the contract or instriment is not inconsistent with Chapter 372 of the Texas Local Government Code, Ordinance No. 9922 (relating to the creation of the District and the levying of assessments on property in the District) and the Service and Assessment Plan for the District, and the City Council approved budget for the District, as these may be amended from time to time C. The Board may establish such procedures, rules and regulationspertaining to officers as it may deem desirable, provided that those procedures are not inconsistent with this Chapter of the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 372 of Lie 'texas Local Govcmment Code, Ordinance No. 99-22 gelating to the creation of bhe District and the levying of assessments on property in the Dismct), the Service and Assessment Plan for the District, or the Cite Council approved budget for the District, as these may be amended from time to time.
