HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 052317-O - Green Builders Gehan HomesRESOLUTION NO. 5o a3 1 1- 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE TWO (2) TRACTS OF LAND, TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 8.674 ACRES, FROM GREEN BUILDERS, INC. WHEREAS, Green Builders, Inc., a Texas corporation (Green Builders), owns two (2) tracts of land, totaling 8.674 acres, out of and a part of the Joseph Fish Survey, Abstract No. 232 and Williams Roberts Survey, Abstract No. 524, as recorded in Document No. 2008045286 of the Official Public Records of Williamson County, Texas, and as described in the attached Exhibits "A" & "B" (Tracts); and, WHEREAS, a water quality pond and a detention pond have been constructed on the Tracts for the purposes of treating and controlling the flow of storm water runoff from the surrounding area (Facilities); and, WHEREAS, Green Builders wishes to grant the Tracts and Facilities to the City of Georgetown by a General Warranty Deed substantially similar to that document attached hereto as Exhibit "C"; and, WHEREAS, it is hereby declared that the City of Georgetown finds it to be in the best interest of the public to accept the Tracts, together with the Facilities and all appurtenant structures and improvements thereon, in order to provide for the proper treatment and release of storm water runoff, and to ensure proper maintenance of said Tracts, Facilities and improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other 2030 Comprehensive Plan Policies.
