RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE NECESSARY AGREEMENTS WITH
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE TEXAS
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN TO
SPONSOR A WILDLIFE HAZARD ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOP A
WILDIFE HAZARD MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown intends to make certain improvements to the
Georgetown Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, the general description of the project is described as: Accomplish
Wildlife Hazard Assessment and develop a Wildlife Hazard Management Plan for the
Georgetown Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown intends to request financial assistance from
the Texas Department of Transportation for these improvements; and
WHEREAS, total project cost are estimated to be $100,000, and the City of
Georgetown will be responsible for 10% of the total project costs currently estimated to
be $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown names the Texas Department of
Transportation as its agent for the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all
funds for these improvements and for the selection of the consultant and administration
of contracts necessary for the implementation of these improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution
are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference
herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all contracts and
agreements with the State of Texas, represented by the Texas Department of

Transportation, and such other parties as shall be necessary and appropriate for the
implementation of the improvements to the Georgetown Municipal Airport, and the City
Secretary is authorized to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
