of the City of Georgetown, Texas

Regular Session
Members present: Kelly Thyssen (Chairperson), Susanne Paclebar, Michael Simpson
(Secretary), Anna Eby (Councilmember) and Lyle Warden DVM
Members Absent: Micki Rundell, Mary Treuter
Staff present: Jackie Carey
Meeting called to order at 6:02 pm by Kelly Thyssen.

Citizen's comments — none
1. Consideration and approval of minutes from May 2016 meeting - Michael
Simpson, Board Secretary
Motion to approve minutes of May 12 meeting, as amended, made by Anna Eby,
seconded by Susanne Paclebar, passed by unanimous vote.
2. Presentation of animal services statistical and analytical report for May 2016 - Jackie
Carey, Animal Services Manager
Shelter population has grown dramatically. Public appeal for Foster Care for kittens has
been well received. Return to owner statistics, had noticeable increase, achieving 50%
for dog in month of May.
3. Discussion and presentation about a Master Plan with Shelter Planners of
America -- Jackie Carey, Animal Shelter Manager
Presentation to board members concentrated on data collection process and results of
other studies. The funded study has just begun, with an eight to ten week duration
expected
4. Discussion regarding suspending meetings during the summer --Jackie Carey, Animal
Shelter Manager
Motion to cancel the July and August meetings made by Mike Simpson, second by Anna
Eby, passed unanimously.
5. Motion to adjourn made by Mike, second by Anna, passed by unanimous vote.
