A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE
MINUTES REFERENCED ON THE ATTACHMENT TO THIS RESOLUTION
WHICH WERE EITHER NOT PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OR APPROVED BUT NOT SIGNED.
WHEREAS, the City Council holds workshop meetings, regular meetings, and special
meetings; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, as a matter of practice, typically approves the previous meeting
Minutes at the next regular Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City Secretary's Office identified certain Council Minutes which were either not
previously approved by the City Council or approved but not signed; and
WHEREAS, approving and authorizing the Mayor and City Secretary to sign the Minutes will
enable the City Secretary's Office to maintain complete and correct files in accordance with the
City's Records Management practices.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN TEXAS:
SECTION ONE. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this Resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION TWO. The City Council of the City of Georgetown finds it to be in the best interest of
the citizens of Georgetown to authorize the Mayor and City Secretary to sign the Minutes
referenced on the attachment to this Resolution which were either not previously approved by the
City Council or approved but not signed.
SECTION THREE. The following Minutes are hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to
sign this Resolution and the Mayor and City Secretary are authorized to sign Minutes of the
following meetings:
March 23, 2009, April 13, 2009, April 14, 2009, May 11, 2009, May 12, 2009, June 22, 2009,
September 8, 2009, November 24, 2009, December 8, 2009, July 12, 2011, February 28, 2012, March
27, 2012 and November 27, 2012.
