ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

Members present: Andrea Brown, Jack Garey (Vice-Chairperson), Rachel Jonrowe, Susanne
Paclebar, Michael Simpson (Secretary), and Lyle Warden
Staff present: Jackie Carey and Shawn Gunnin
Absent: Kelly Thyssen
Meeting called to order at 6:08pm by Jack Garey..
1. Citizen’s comments – none
2. Motion to approve minutes of April 16 meeting made by Mike Simpson, seconded by
Rachel Jonrowe, passed by unanimous vote.
3. Presentation of animal services statistical and analytical report for April 2015 by Jacky
Carey. The Animal Shelter achieved No Kill status for the month of April 2015.
4. Discussion regarding available money for shelter Master Plan updated by Rachel
Jonrowe, No Actions or Motions at this meeting.
5. Discussion regarding researching the addition of grief counseling services to the list of
services that the shelter provides led by Rachel Jonrowe. Information gathered was
reviewed by attendees. Action to Jackie Carey to invite Max Mixson, Animal Control
Supervisor, to future meeting for his experience of topic at other shelter organizations.

6. Discussion regarding the creation of collateral for introduction of the City of Georgetown
Animal Shelter to city staff and the public lead by Michael Simpson. Initial draft of past
and current presentations and statistical summary information was review with group. No
Motion made this meeting..
7. Motion to adjourn made by Michael Simpson, second by Rachel Jonrowe, passed by
unanimous vote.
