A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS PERTAINING
TO THE CANCELLATION OF THE MAY 7, 2016 GENERAL ELECTION FOR
DISTRICT 4 and DISTRICT 7
WHEREAS, The City Council ordered elections for City Council Districts 3, 4 and 7 for
May 7, 2016 per Resolution No. 012616-D, and
WHEREAS, The City has received certification of an unopposed candidate for the
District 4 and District 7 election as denoted in Exhibit "A."
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City of Georgetown as follows:
Section One: The facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section Two: The election for Districts 4 and 7 are herein canceled with the Mayor
being authorized to sign the Order of Cancellation in substantially the same form as
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and the Order shall be posted as required by law.
Section Three: This Resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
APPROVED AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS HELD ON THE 8t" DAY OF MARCH, 2016.

The City Council of City of Georgetown hereby cancels the District 4 and District 7
election scheduled to be held on May 7, 2016 in accordance with Section 2.053(a) of
the Texas Election Code. The following candidates have been certified as unopposed
and are hereby elected as follows:

contrario, se hubiera celebrado el May 7, 2016 de conformidad, con la Secci6n 2.053(a)
