right-of-way of Williams Drive following the transfer of ownership from Williams
County., and directing publication of notice and public hearings for propos
a-t.nexation
Whereas, the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, as land in
the public right-of-way owned by the City, moves to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown,
to -wit:
Right of way of Williams Drive, more particularly shown on the maps attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and a portion of which is described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "B" for the
western edge of Jim Hogg Road intersection, which are attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference as if set forth in full; and
Whereas, the said area of land is contiguous to the existing city limits of the City of Georgetown,
and is without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing on it.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and is hereby, granted; and,
further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public hearings to
be held January 12, 2016, and January 26, 2016, before the City Council on the subject of the proposed
annexation of the said area into the city limits; and further, to place upon the City Council Agendas for
February 9, 2016, and any meeting before/including April 26, 2016, the consideration of the passage of
an ordinance annexing said area into the city limits.

angle point, for the most westerly southwest corner hereof;
