All nounci|membemwere inattendance, with the exception 'of Rachael Jnnnowe.District 8. Jmnmwearrived ed4:33PM. Rick Robinson welcomed everyone and said he appreciated the responses to his email. Hethen asked the Council ifthey had any further input. Council reviewed the updated list and discussed. Discussion took place regarding the descriptions, language and content 'nfthe list. Robinson then showed the list ofRules of Engagement. Council agreed that there were nnchanges to this list. The Strengths list was discussed next. Robinson asked Council if there were any strengths listed that they felt they could not accomplish or if there were any strengths that should be there that were not. Consolidation of several items was discussed. Robinson then showed the list of Weaknesses and asked council if they saw any weaknesses that need to be overcome to achieve their vision. Discussion followed. Accomplishing solutions and problem solving was discussed at length. Robinson brought up the list of Opportunities next and asked Council if they saw anything missing from the list that they would want to pursue. Council agreed the list was good. Robinson showed the Threats List next and asked Council if they wanted to make any changes. Council agreed with the list. Cultural Goals and Key Strategies were shown and discussed. Maintaining the quality of services was discussed. Public safety was discussed, Perceptions and reality were discussed. Council agreed to change language from "new blood" 0u"Encouraging more community involvement and recruiting highly quality persons ioserve onthe Boards and Commiseiona." Vision and Goal Evaluation was discussed next. The list was shown byRobinson and heasked if Council felt their goals were sufficient tnaccomplish their vision. Robinson said that he would be updating the Prioritization and Key Strategies list. Discussion followed. Robinson showed the List ofKey Strategies. Council had previously been asked by Robinson to their key strategies. Discussion followed. Having the right personnel was discussed and financial implications were discussed. Public services were also discussed. Robinson split the Council into two groups and asked them to discuss the key strategies list and prioritize it. Some things on the list are tactics rather than strategies, Robinson explained. He asked Council to "tier" their The groups captured their ideas on the big boards. Tiers were listed by the groups. Robinson said there were several tactics identified by the groups. Discussion followed. The two groups' lists were compared and discussed. Reserves were discussed. on target. Discussion followed of how to implement the plan. Discussion took place on the value of the Goal Setting Exercise. Council was complimentary of the process and result. Robinson made a recommendation to assign one staff member to each key strategy and its follow-up and Motion by Brainard to adjourn the meeting. Second by Eby.
