WHEREAS, a dispute has arisen between the City of Georgetown ("City") and
the purported community of Weir concerning jurisdiction over certain areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of its
citizens to authorize the association of Bob Heath as assistant City Attorney in
to litigate this case on behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager approves of this appointment as evidenced by his
signature hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to appoint Bob
Heath as assistant City Attorney for the Georgetown- Weir
dispute.
PASSED this day of December, 1987, a vote of council
members.
