HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 870490.018RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN] TEXAS DECLARING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN HAS CHOSEN NOT TO ADOPT THE OPTIONAL AMENDMEN OF SENATE BILL 505. WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Texas has passed Senate Bill 505 amending the law governing the Texas Municipal Retirement System Act. WHEREAS, some the amendments of S.B. 505 are mandated and others must be implemented by adoption of an ordinance. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the optional amendments to the Texas Municipal Retirement System Act provided for in S.B. 505 are not to be adopted by ordinance as benefits of the City's retirement program. Read and adopted on this "r-fth day of October, 1987.
