M WHEREAS, Georgetown is preparing to institute legal proceedings to seek court help in resolving this jurisdictional dispute; and WHEREAS, the Georgetown City Council feels it to be in the best interest of its citizens, as well as to the mutual benefit of Georgetown and Weir, to explore possible non -judicial resolutions to this dispute, before instituting 101111i!511r COME 111 1. That the Mayor, Joan King and Mike McMaster (the "Council Committee") be authorized to explore possible non -judicial resolutions to this dispute with 2. That such Weir representative( s) be duly authorized by a petition signed by a majority of the qualified voters residing within such community; 3. That the Council Committee report back to the Council within thirty (30) days from the date of this Resolution with the results of such efforts; 4.
