HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 870149RESOLUTION 0 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, desires to generate revenue equitably to defray the costs of certain city services; and WHEREAS, the city recreational facilities provides recreational services to a user population and such services are supported by city tax revenues; and WHEREAS, a user fee for persons who use the city recreational services is a rea- sonable way to distribute the costs for recreational services; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT, in accordance with a resolution adopted by the City Council on August 26, 1986; All groups and organizations that meet the exemption criteria in said resolu- tion, and have obtained certification of such by the city (hereafter referred to as exempt users), shall be subject to section 1 of the attached Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department Schedule of Procedures, Fees and Deposits, 1987. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all other persons, groups or and organizations (hereafter referred to as non-exempt users) shall be subject to section 2 of the attached Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department Schedule of Procedures, fees and Deposits, 1987. Dated this day of 19 (City Seal) City Secretary parks and recreation fees 1987 (fad parkfees.res) page 1 of 3 GEORGETOWN PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE OF PROCEDURES, FEES AND DEPOSITS, 1987 Section 1. The following procedures shall apply to exempt users in compliance with Council Resolution dated August 26, 1986. A. Basic services to be provided at no charge to exempt users are defined as those services included in routine operation and maintenance of recreation facilities and will include lighting when necessary. B. Exempt users who conduct seasonally organized activities shall have an annual agreement in writing at least 60 days prior to the proposed season of acti- vity with the City's Recreational Coordinator. One time exempt users must have a written agreement 14 days prior to the planned activity with the City Recreation Coordinator. C. The written agreement will include but not be limited to: 1) The basic services to be provided by the City at no cost, 2) The services to be provided by the organization, 3) Special services, as required, to be provided by the City for a fee. D. Fees for special services will be at rates listed in Section 2 or will be calculated based on a per hour labor cost, material cost, and pro -rata replacement cost of equipment. Section 2. The following procedures, fees and deposits shall apply to non-exempt users. A. Swimming Pool Fees: 1. Life Guards: $10.00/hr. per life guard (Number required based on group size and pool used, after regular operating hours.) 2. Pool Rental: San Gabriel Pool 25.00/hr. Williams $50.00/hr. (Both pools: Up to 20 people, $10.00/hr. for each additional 10 people or fraction thereof.) 3. Pool use during regular operating hours: $1.00 (18 years and under), $2.00 (over 18) B. Ball Fields Fees: 1. Field Rentals: $25.00 per field/per event 2. Field Linings per event: $6.00 Little League Fields; $10.00 for all other fields. 3. Lights: a. VFW # 1 & 2 - $3.00/hr. b. San Gabriel Fields Baseball #1 & 2 $10.00/hr., Softball #1 & 2 $10.00/hr. c. Major Little League $6.00/hr. d. Minor Little League $4.00/hr. 4. Deposits: $25.00 per field (refundable) per event. parks and recreation fees 1987 (fad parkfees.res) page 2 of 3 C. Procedures: 1. An agreement in writing from the City Recreational Coordinator for all fees and deposits due 14 days prior to event. 2. An agreement in writing is required for all proposed annual needs of facilities, for recreational activities from City Recreational Coordina- tor, at least 60 days prior to activity. 3. Clean up shall consist of an absolute removal of all litter. 4. Any other fees, required after use not listed above, shall be based on a per -hour labor costs, material cost, and pro -rata replacement cost of equipment. D. Review of Fees and Procedures: 1. All fees and procedures in Sections I and 2 will be applicable until December 31, 1987. 2.
