Job Title: Warehouse Worker - Senior

SUMMARY: Performs duties associated with a warehouse inventory disbursements and receiving. Acts as Lead for
Warehouse Workers.

subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to,
the following:
Serves as lead for the Warehouse Workers, including training and evaluation of staff, and direction of daily
operations.
Receives warehouse orders via e-mail and fax; processes requests; delivers stock to departments.
Enters disbursements into inventory tracking system to ensure items are disbursed to proper account and project.
Checks and monitors stock levels to determine inventory level; creates purchase orders to restock warehouse
inventory stock items.
Processes incoming stock by inspecting conditions of items, may perform operations checks on equipment;
comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing listings; noting/resolving discrepancies;
correcting the shortages and obtaining credits; entering stock received into inventory tracking system; ensuring
the payment process is initiated.
Assists in coordinating City employees’ uniform service to include receiving uniforms, notifying employees of
delivery changes, reviewing invoices and notifying company of any discrepancies.
Performs warehouse facility duties, including cleaning, making minor repairs; organizing stock and non-stock
items, clerical duties; and ensuring the facility is in compliance with safety codes.
Contacts vendors to get pricing on different products for purchasing; uses bid sheet to get pricing from current
vendors; contact vendors regarding past due deliveries.
Retrieves surplus items from departments, maintains surplus log, and assists in the set-up of annual auction.
Performs other work as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, training and Experience Guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of full-time warehouse, material handling, or electrical warehouse
experience. OR Any combination of experience, education or training that provides the required knowledge, skills or
abilities.
A minimum of two years retail stock management experience preferred.
Knowledge of:
Fundamental inventory control procedures.
Warehouse procedures.
Water, wastewater, electric, and other products used by a municipality.
City practices, policies and procedures; federal and state laws, rules and regulations related to purchasing.
Skill in:
Directing and reviewing the work of others.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.

Reading and comprehending office memos, warning labels, and department procurement requisitions.
Performing basic mathematical functions.
Interpreting policies and procedures.
Typing 40 wpm, performing simple data entry & retrieval.
Using computers and related software applications; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Incode
Using various types of equipment.
Maintaining technical knowledge regarding material handling, shipping and receiving of inventory.
Operating various pieces of large equipment.
Performing detailed work.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class C Texas driver’s license,
CDL preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, crouching, bending, vision,
hearing, talking, use of foot controls.
Some exposure to weather extremes while receiving and delivering shipments.
