WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is an incorporated Home Rule city
dependent upon taxes to provide its citizens with services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas held the required two public
hearings on August 11, 2015 and August 18, 2015, and
WHEREAS, all notification and public hearing requirements have been
satisfied; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to levy taxes for the 2015/14
fiscal year for the City of Georgetown, Texas; and
WHEREAS, this tax rate will raise more revenue to fund new programs and
services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1, The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this
ordinance are hereby found. and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated
by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City
Council hereby finds that this ordinance complies with the Vision Statement of the City
of Georaetown 2030 Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown (the "City Council")
hereby finds that all of the prerequisites to the levying of a tax rate for this City for the
tax year 2015, (including, without limitation, certifications, notices, submittals, and
public hearings) as required by law have been compiled with.

SECTION 4. If any section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or provision of this
Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional, the same shall not affect
the validity of this Ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof other than the
part so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption of its
second and final reading by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
