Tim Kennedy, Mavorl Approved as to Form: DiA7ne CallaAder, City Attorney NFAVWIIFIFIWN1 TO: Mayor and City Council -4/ FROM: Travis McLain, Airport Manager I SUBJECT: Amendment to FAA Grant Agreements The Grant Agreement that the City accepted from the FAA in September, 1987, in the amount of $649,500.00, allocated $280,000.00 of the grant to the construction of an addition to the aircraft parking apron. However, the estimated cost of the addition totals $376,809.00 (FAA 90%: $339,128.00) The Grant Agreement that the City accepted from the FAA in September, 1988, in the amount of $500,000.00, is for the rehabilitation of Runway 18-36, and the overlay of Taxiways A and C. The total estimated cost for this project is $424,428.00 (FAA 90%: $381,985.00). The total amount of grant funds available for the two projects is $780,000.00, and 90% of the total estimated cost of the two projects is $721,113.00. By amending the two grants to delete a portion of the apron work from the 1987 grant, and adding a portion to the 1988 grant, the City will be able to complete both projects within the budgeted amount of $952,000.00. Total estimated cost for both projects is $801,237.00. The FAA has requested that the City accept the two grant amendments, which do not increase the amount of either grant. The staff also recommends that the Council accept the two amendments.
