RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
finds that the acquisition of certain right of way along F.M. 2338
(Williams Drive) would serve the public convenience and necessity;
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of roadway by a governmental entity
is authorized by law; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas is performing road improvements
along R.M. 2338, between Booty's Crossing Road and Serenada Drive,
which require the necessary widening of that roadway.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWNt TEXAS:
That the City Council adopts the findings above as true and
correct and the same are incorporated herein as if fully set forth
at length.
That the City Council approves of the acquisition of a 20 foot
width strip along the edge of property that bounds F. M. 2338t
from Booty's Crossing Road to Serenada Drive, from the following
properties. -

If the properties cannot be acquired through the process of
reasonable negotiations, then the City Attorney is directed to
proceed with condemnation proceedings for the purposes of
acquisition of a twenty foot strip of these properties for street
widening purposes.
