BETWEEN THE

GEORGETOWN,
AUTHORIZIN8
THE STREET RESURFACING
PROGRAM PHASE
II, PROJECT
NO. 003819
AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, is the major
enforcer of the Public Safety within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and effective
operation is essential to the City Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the County Commissioner, Precinct 3, Raymond
Rister, has been qualified to enter Into this street resurfacing
program,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF
8B]RGETQWNv TEXAS:
Section I" That the City Council finds that the recitals
set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
Section II" The the City Council approves the agreement
between the City of Georgetown and Williamson County, for the
purpose of intergovernmental agreement Street Resurfacing Program
Phase II, Project No. 00381, and incorporated herein, as if fully
set forth at length.
Section III. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign
the agreement and City Secretary to attest.

8UBJECT: Street Resurfacing Program
Project No. 00381
The following information pertains directly to a commitment
between the City of Georgetown and Williamson County Precinct #3.
According to the current negotiations with respective County
Commissioners, Williamson County will be sealcoating 11.20 miles
of the City Streets in 1988" The City of Georgetown will be
obligated to incur all cost of materials and labor for the
project, which is expected to run approximately $75,000.00 for
the total project cost" Labor cost for the construction will be
based on the current County hourly Wages for their employees.
Machinery cost, for County furnished machineryv will be billed on
hourly rates established by maintenance and operation" These
costs are expected to consume 75% of the total project cost"
Material cost will vary according to the final quantities used on
the project.
Funding source will be.street capital projects.
Historical cost for this method of repair runs .40/SYv mush less
than outside contract Work at "85/SY,
