WHEREAS, the City Council on January 26, 1988 did adopt
Resolution #880027.2 authorizing the Century Plan Steering
Committee and Century Plan Task Group I, acting as a unified
committee, to develop the Land Use, Transportation, and
Utilities Functional Plan Elements pursuant to the Century
Plan Policy Plan; and
WHEREAS, this unified committee is now known and shall be
referred to as the Century Plan -Land -Usel Transportation,
t Utilities Elements Working Group(Workingo • ;
WHEREAS, the Working Group has elected by a consensus of a
majority of its membership three (3) co -chairpersons to lead
( direct the development of t
and one of these co -chairpersons being the Mayor, and
WHEREAS, the Working Group has identified a need to supplement
its membership in order to improve and enhance citizen
participation and representation;
NOW THEREFORE i 1 BY THE CITY COUNCILOF
GEORGETOWN,
1.) Council Resolution #880027.2 is hereby supplemented
by authorizing the three co -chairpersons of the
Century Plan Working Group (one of which is the
Mayor) to assign additional persons to the Working
Group.

Assignments be fupon the affirmative
recommendation of at least two of the three Working
Group co -chairpersons and an affirmative vote of a
majority of the Working Group members at A meeting in
which a quorum of 'its membership is present.
4.) To the degree possible, assignments shall maintain
equitable representation of the various community
interests.
5.) The Council shall be informed of such assignments by
receiving an updated Working Group membership list
within five(5) working days of the action of the
Working Group.
