HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 06.07.1971 - Extention Boundary Limitsk AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON` COUNTYr TEXAS, AND 'EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SOAS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE IN- HABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES 'OF OTHER` CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY, WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been: duly signed and acknowledged by each,a.nd every person or corpora- tion having an interest in the -following described property, to -wit:, BEING 38.54 acres of land lying South of'the South City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and being out of the John Powell Survey, Abstract No, 49`1 and the Ephraim Evans Survey', Abstract No. 212, in Williamson County, Texas; BEGINNING at a point on the West Right -of -Way line of Interstate`Highay No. 35 at a point 200 feet N 851 '25' 52" W from Engineers Station 1057+00 on the 'Reference Line of said Highway and being on the South :City Limits �of the City of Georgetown,, Texas; THENCE S'850 25' 52" E, with the South City Limits of Georgetown at 200 feet pass through said Engineers Station 1057+00, a total distance of 400 feet; THENCE 1308,48 feet with't,he East right-of-way line of ` said highway along the arc of a curve to the left whose radius is11,259.158 feet and whose central' angle 1s 6°'39t 31" to a point which'is 200 feet' left of Engineers'Station 107'0+31, 74` THENCE S 20 05.4' E distance of 447.66 feet to the beginning of curve to theleft; THENCE 831.2 feet along the arc of a curve whose radius is 1,,859.9 feet and w4 se central angle is 251 36' 18"; THENCE S 270 41' 42" E 468,3 feet to a point; THENCE S 140 231 24" E 34,29 feet; THENCE S 160 24' 48" W 63,32 feet to a point 571.89 feet N'870 54' 36" E of Engineers Reference Line Sta 1088+00 THENCE S 87°' 54' 361' W, at 456,14 feet pass the East End of the 'Rabbit Hill Grade Separation Bridge 'in the center of said bridge, at 571.89 feet pass through Engineers °Reference Lane Station 1088+00, at '681.64 feet pass the West end of the 'said Rabbit Hill Grade Separation Bridge, continuing in all 1171,92 feet to a point on the West right--of-way line of Interstate Highway No. 35; THENCE with the said West right-of-way line as follows:., northdaster'lyr along the 'arc of a curve to the right, ,said curve having a radius 'of 766..2 feet and I a lorig-chdrd Offeet which 'bears N 171 021 36 11 E511,70''.feet to the end of said curve to theright and the beginning • a curve tit the' left; THENCE 731.8 feetalong thearc of a curve whose central angleo a point which is 2001 right of EnginedrsStation 1076+4:6.9 on thesald •- I • Interstate Highway No. 35; THENCE N 20 051 2411 W,615.16 feet to the beginning of a curve to the right;' THENCE 1,354.97 feet along the arc of a curve whos radiuslsIlf659,158,feet� and whose'central angle is 60 39131" to the'place'of beginning. WHEREAS, said tract 'of land is,contiguous and adjacent to the City of Georgetown�, Texas.- and is not morethan one-half M TAMBREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the day of... 1971, such date being not less than 5 and not more than 30 dayss-frbm the date hereof, M WAEREAS,after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the 'same the 'City, Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the City of Georgetown, Texas; NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the'City of Georgetown', Texas; That the foregoing described property be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Gecirgetowri, Williamson County, Texas,, and that the boundary limitsof the City of Georgetown, Texas, be'and the'same are hereby. extended to include the above described territory within the 'city limits, 'of the City of J��-own,,- Texas,- and the 'same 'shall hereafter be included within the''territorial limits,of said city, and said land and the 'future 'inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rightsand privileges of other citizens of the City of Georgetownt Texas,, and shall be bound by the lacts'and ordinanceS of said city. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Georgetown, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
