The Georgetown City Council will meet on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Council Chambers, at 101
E. 7'h St., Georgetown, Texas

Policy Develop in en t/Review Workshop — Call to order at 4:00 PM
A Update on Public Safety Operations and Training Center -- Codi Newsom, Senior Project Manager and Wayne
Nero, Chief of Police
Eason, Gonzalez, Brainard absent.
Nero introduced the item and said public safety has completed their move into the new building. He said the City
had its first hosted training with 70 women in law enforcement. He said it was refreshing for him to walk in and see
everything done, polished and shiny. He added it is really going to be a world class facility. He thanked Council
for all of their support over the last four and a half years. Newsom showed Council pictures of the final building.
She provided a brief overview of the schedule as well as a cost overview of the project. She said there is about
$400,000 remaining in the budget and she reviewed the anticipated future costs of the project. She said they have
added late changes to the scope of work. She noted they will still be onsite for the additional scope. She said the
delta gives the city $174,746 in savings. There was a brief discussion about the final numbers and small projects
yet to be completed.
