WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has,
through its budgetary process, established certain software programs
to be standardized throughout the City in -personal computers; and,
WHEREAS, the City finds it in the best interests of the City to
provide software training and support services to City employees who
operate personal computers; and,
WHEREAS, proper training in software will improve the efficiency
and effectiveness of software programs operated on computers; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action is not
inconsistent or in conflict with any Century Plan Policy as required
by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS.
All the, facts recited in the preamble to this Resolution are hereby
found by the Council to be true and correct and are incorporated by
reference herein and expressly made a part hereof as is copied herein
verbatim.
That the City Council approves the Professional Services Contract for
Computer Software Training and Support Services with Squier Computer
Services, Inc., and such Contract is attached hereto and incorporated
herein.
SECTION III
That the City Council authorize expenditure of funds under this Con-
tract from Account #01-70-00-5053 and Account :402-02-00-5053, in an
amount not to exceed fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00).
That the Council authorizes the Mayor to execute and the City Secre-
tary to attest.
