INTERNATIONAL BUSINEMACHINESCORPORATION ®r COMPUTER
HARDWARE SYSTEM FOR THE Gi' i POLICE DEPARTMENT AND
AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN SAME.
WHEREAS, an essential part of the automation of the police records
system is the conversion of - manual recordsto computer filestand
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal was issued by the City Staff for a
computer ha• - system fori - • of police records; ana
WHEREAS, proposals were received and reviewed by City Staff; and
WHEREAS, the International Business Machine proposal for ■
requirementsystem 36 and associated computer devices was found to fulfill the
• -• and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Georgetown has recommended
the purchase of the IBM System 36; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the City Staff to negotiate a
purchase contract with International Business Machine Corporation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section I; The Council finds that the recitals set forth above are true
and correct and are incorporated herein for all purposes.
