A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ENGINEERING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND STEGER AND BIZZELL INC.
AUTHORIZING ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO THE NORTH
HIGHWAY 81 WATERLINE EXTENSION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major
distributor of water within its cooperate limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds safe and efficient
distribution of water is essential to the operation of the City's
Public Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, Steger and Bizzell, Inc. desire to enter into an
agreement of engineering services, related to the North Highway
81 waterline extension, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the
same;
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action
implements (Utilities/Energy Policy 3) of the Century Plan - Policy
Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03
of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS;
Section I. That the City finds the recitals set forth
above are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
Section II. That the City Council approves the agreement
between the City of Georgetown, Texas and Steger and Bizzell, Inc.,
for engineering services related to the North Highway 81 waterline
extension, and all backup information attached hereto and
incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length.
Section III. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the contract documents and City Secretary to attest.

As per our conversation regarding the engineering contract for the above
captioned project, I am hereby agreeing that this project can be covered by
our gener-le contract with the City of Georgetown. The payment will be
based on paragraph B (Percentage of Construction Cost) in Exhibit A.

RE: North 81 Waterline Extension, Project 00102
Due to certain unscheduled delays, the City has just received
request from Steger and Bizzell, to approve the extension to the
engineering agreement with the City of Georgetown for servicesi
These services will be paid on the existing fee curve used for such
engineering services, and are associated with engineering the North
81 waterline. The amount of these services would be
approximately $10,000.00 for engineering work for the total line
construction* Funds for these services are budgeted and staff is
recommending that Council approve these services as a part of the
basic service agreement previously approved.
Funding Source: Utility Capital Projects
Proposed Motion: Motion to approve engineering services for Nortn
81 waterline improvements to Steger and Bizzell Inc. in an amount
not to exceed $12,500.00.
