WHEREAS,

TourismLunding request for approval by the Tourism Development Board;
WHEREAS, the Development Board has approved the
submitted budget and approved to commit $8,000 of tourism funds
to provide for the advertising and promotion of this event;
WHEREAS,Sheriff's
amount up to $6,000 from the proceeds of the event;
WHEREAS, $2,000 of the requested $8,000 was an anticipated
budget item in the TourismBudget,• the additional«! 1 was
not anticipated in the budget, the Tourism Board requests that
the additional $6,000 be paid from the Council Contingency line
item in the tourism budget; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:

writtenThat the City Council of the City of Georgetown approves the
funding agreement between the City of Georgetown and the
Sheriff's Posse for the advertising and promotion of the 1989
Rodeo event, attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully
set forth at length and commits to providing Eight Thousand
Dollars in funding from the tourism development funds, with the
aw understood condition that up to $6,000 of •- funds
is to be refunded to the City from the Posse from the proceeds of
the Rodeo event. And, $6,000 of - $8,000 - aa • from
Council -m in the tourism budget. W
That the Mayor be authorized to execute the agreement and
the City Secretary . attest thereto.
