WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas
pursuant to the authority granted by Article, 664-7,
as amended, desires to participate in described purchasing pro-
grams of the State Purchasing and General Services Commission,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that participation
in these programs will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of
this City through the anticipated savings to be realized; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS THAT the City Council of the City of Georgetown does
request the State Purchasing and General Services commission to
include its stated need for class 070 vehicles the commission's
contract for those items, whereby the City may be allowed to
purchase those items from the contract; and that Bob Hart, City
Manager, is authorized and directed to sign and deliver all
necessary requests and other documents in connection therewith
for and on behalf of the City of Georgetown.

certify the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolu-
