OVEMENT PROJECTS AT THE GEORGETOWNMUNICIPAL AIRPORT
7 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAME AND THE CITY SECRETARY TO ATTEST.
WHEREAS, the City Council (the "Council") of the City of George-
town, Texas has accepted federal grant funds from the FAA in order to
improve facilities and safety at the Georgetown Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Council approved the Contract Agreement between the
City and ARE, Inc, for the continuous on-site inspection of the air-
port construction Projects in the amount of $23,500.00 on October 26,
1988 by Resolution Number 880360; and
WHEREAS, certain conditions have arisen not otherwise contem-
plated nor reasonably forseen by either party, which necessitate
additional inspection time be performed by ARE, Inc. in the perfor-
mance of said contract; and
WHEREAS, the parties find that such extra inspection time is nec-
essary for the successful completion of the project; and
WHEREAS, the City agrees to additionally compensate ARE, Inc. in
an amount not to exceed $ 9000.00 for such services and ARE, Inc.
agrees to accept same and to provide such additional services by
amending the previous Contract Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the Council has found that this action is not inconsis-
tent nor in conflict with any Century Plan Policy as required by Sec-
tion 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS.

That the Council approves the amendment for additional services in
an amount not to exceed $ 9,000.00 to the previously approved contract
for ARE's'engineering services, such amendment is attached hereto and
incorporated herein.
SECTION III.
That the Council authorizes the Mayor to execute, the City Secretary
to attest.
