A RESOLUTION TO APPROVEAN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CEORGETO0TENTS AND ITT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, AUTHORIZING
APPROVAL OF TRE: CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT'FOR -WORK RELATES TO
THE NORTH HIGHiIAY 81 - IN'DUSTRIAL PARK WATERLINE IMPROVENENTS
AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYOR`TO EXECUTE THE Slid,
WHEREAS, the Cite of Georgetown, Texas is the major
distributor of water and wastewater within its corporate' limits;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient
distribution of water and wastewater is essential to the operation
of the City's Public Utilities Department; and
{,'HEREAS, DIC Construction Company desire to enter into a
contract agreement for services related to the construction of
the North Highway 81 - Industrial Park Waterline Improvements,
and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same;
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action
implements UCilitiWEnergy Policy 3 of the Century Plan, Policy
Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03
of the: Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COLNCII OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds the recitals set
forth above are true and correct and are incorporated herein,
SECTION 11, That the City Council approves the agreement
between the City of Georgetoiai, Texas and III Construction' Company,
being the low bidder on the project with a bid amount of
$367,806,00, for services related to North Highway 81 -,Industrial
Park Waterline improvements, and shall be funded from Account Na,
06-03-00-5099 North 81 Raw Water'- $160,000,00; 06-03-00-5102 Borth
81 Hwy, Improvement District —$180,000;00 06-03-00-5258 Dawn
Drive Waterline- $277804,00, and all backup information attached
hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length,
SECTION 111, That the Photo is hereby authorized to execute
the Contract documents and City Secretary to attest,
