A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT BE50 THE CITY
OF GEORCETOR AND,EXGAVATION, INC„ AUTHORIZING FINAL
PAYMENT AND QUANTITY ADJUSTMENTS RELATED TO THE
LAMDFIIL CLOSURE PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
BELLED THE SAME,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas currently operates
a solid waste landfill under apermit in compliance with regulations
promulgated by the Texas Department: of Health; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has obtained approval for
closure of the landfill site from the Texas Department of Health;
and,
NTEREAS, Excavation, Inc:, is the general contractor for this
project, and the primary payee for services related to this project;
and,
BREREAS, the City Council finds that this action; implements
Utility/Energy Policy No, 2 of the Century Plan Policy and is not
found to be: inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century
Plan policies as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative
Chapter, of the Policy Plan.
109, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY :OF
GEORGETOZ, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That the City Council finds that the recitals
set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
SECTION IL That the City Council approve final payment
and quantity adjustments for the project in the amount of
5123,631;47, being $28,118.23 over the original bid amount of
$256,295,23 on the project, and the funding source shall be
Account No, 232-84 and Account No, 06-03-5209 All back-up
information attached hereto and incorporated herein as if set
forth fully at length.
SECTION III. That the Mayor 1s hereby authorized to
execute the :.Contract . documents andthe City Secretary to
attest,
