WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown; Texas; entered into a certain Lease
Agreement regarding certain property located at the Georgetown MumcipalAirport,
dated December 30, 1985, which was subsequently amended by a First Addendum
dated July 28, 1987, and amended by a Lease Amendment dated May 23, 1989
(hereinafter collectively referred to as "Lease") with J & A Aircraft Services; Inc.
(dlbla Georgetown Jet Center) (hereinafter referred to as "J & M, which Lease was
assigned to Georgetown Jet Center, Inc,, upon the consent of the City this 9th day of
October, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Georgetown Jet Center, Inc,, has requested that the City execute
an estoppel letter outlining the current status of the Lease and the leased premises,
within the City's knowledge; and
WIHEREAS,;the City Council has found that the; action implements the
Facilities and Services Policy I of the Century Plan.. Policy Plan Element and isnot
found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as
required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C17 COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
All of the facts recited in the preamble to this Resolution are Hereby found by
the City Council to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made apart hereof, as if copied herein verbatim,
SECTION 2.
The City hereby agrees that the statements made in the estoppel letter
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" are true and correct w thin the knowledge of the City
to date.
SECTION 3.
The Allayorishereby authorized tosip theestoppelletter(attachedheretoas
Exhibit "A") and the City Secretary to attest.
