HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 900485 - Airport Lease Agmt AmendedRESOLUTION NO WHEREAS; the City of Georgetown, Texas, entered into a certain Lease Agreement regarding certain property located at the Georgetown Municipal Airport, dated December 30, 1985, which was subsequently amended by First Addendum dated July 28, 1987, and amended by a Lease Amendment dated May 23, 1989 (hereinafter collectively referred un as "Lease"), with J & A Aircraft Services, Inc; (dlh)a Georgetown Jet Center) (hereinafter referred to as "J & A'), ;and WHEREAS) J & A has requested that the City consent to the assignment of the Lease to Georgetown Jet Center, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the City's Airport Advisory Board met on October 1, 1990, to review the requested assignment and has recommended to the City Council that the City consent to the assignment; and WHEREAS, Georgetown Jet Center, Inc., desires to accept the assignment of the Lease; and WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action :implements the Facilities and Services Policy I of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element and isnot found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT; SECTION 1. Ah of the facts recited in the preamble to this Resolution are hereby found by the City Council tobetrue and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied herein verbatim. SECTION 2. The City hereby consents to the Assignment of Lease (attached hereto as Exhibit " ') from J & A Aircraft Services, Inc., to Georgetown JetCenter, Inc. SECTION 3; The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the City's Consent to Assignment (attached hereto asExhibit "B") and the City Secretary to attest, RESOLVED this the 9th day of October, 1990.
